About the Tiffanie

The Tiffanie, sometimes called the Asian Semi-longhair, is a semi-longhaired cat of Burmese type with a silky coat and plumed tail. It comes in the same colours and patterns as the Asian group.

Temperament

Gentle, affectionate and companionable. Tiffanies are generally calm, enjoying company without being overbearing.

Moderate. They enjoy gentle play and climbing.

Grooming

The silky coat needs brushing two or three times a week.

History

The Tiffanie developed in Britain from the Asian breeding programme in the 1980s. It is recognised by the GCCF. It should not be confused with the Chantilly-Tiffany, a separate American breed.
